Here are a series of questions that we answer quite often in case something was not clear.

ENTERING A CAREER AT THE UBA

Is it mandatory to do the CBC to start a career at the UBA ?

Yes, it is mandatory since the CBC is the first year of all UBA careers.

How many subjects can I take per semester ?

You can take up to three subjects per semester . In the case of architecture or design careers, you must also take a drawing workshop that is annual .

If I was wrong in a partial, or I could not present (illness), can I make a recovery ?

As of May 2, 2013, the complementary exam regime for the CBC came into effect. It is about the incorporation of a new exam instance for those students who have not been able to attend the partial for health reasons or for the cases in which they have not reached a grade of 4 (four). Resolution No. 601/2013

When do classes start in the second semester and when do they end?

Classes generally start in August and end in November.

Can I start the second tranche of Economics if I owe materials from the first tranche?

No. First you have to finish the subjects of the first section.

What are regular final instances like ?

They are three , consecutive , immediately after the regular course of a subject and in case of not having promoted it with 7 or more marks .

The calls are in July , December and March . Check with the Headquarters Secretariat where it is given, ten days before the exam since you should NOT sign up, you only have to appear on the list that the teacher makes available in said Secretariat.

The exam schedule is available on the official CBC website, in the academic calendar, approximately one month before the months mentioned above.

When and how is registration for free exams done ?

Enrollment takes place in the students' department of each venue where you want to take (check the website since NOT all subjects or all chairs are given in all venues). Check the registration schedule on the CBC website, in the academic calendar. For the December shift you can find it approximately at the end of October, in the case of the July shift, you can see it approximately in May and the March schedule you can find it in the months of January - February.


When you sign up for free exams you can choose which chair to take, in general the exams are first written and then oral, once the written has been approved.
We recommend that you consult with teachers responsible for each subject to find out about this modality.

The programs can be consulted at the CBC libraries: Central Library of the CBC in Ramos Mejía 841 1st floor - CABA, from Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 18:00, or at the headquarters of Avellaneda, Montes de Oca, San Isidro, Drago and Paternal .

To carry out these procedures, the CBC credential / book is essential.

Registration for free exams is not personal.

The CBC has a Vocational Guidance Department, its headquarters is located at 841 Ramos Mejía Street, 2nd floor, CABA

How can I make a change of Venue or Shift?

All changes must be made at the time of confirming your registration.

How and where is the CBC analytical processed?

As of May 6, 2009, you can request the CBC analysis at the Subsecretariat for Students at the CBC Headquarters located at Ramos Mejía 841, 2nd floor - CABA. Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The process is NOT personal, but the interested party's CBC Credential must be presented. The tariff can be consulted in "Treasury Fees". Approximately one month after the completion of the exams the subject already appears on the certificate.

How can I get a financial aid grant and what procedure do I have to do?

Where is the career change made?

It takes place in the Department of Students of the Headquarters where you attended or last attended, from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the credential and if it corresponds with the census receipt.

In the case of requesting a Faculty pass within the UBA, the process begins at the Faculty of origin and you can only enroll in CBC subjects when the file reaches the Subsecretariat of Students of the CBC.

How do you start a concurrency ?

It begins in the school of origin with a minimum approved subject of the degree cycle (that is, an approved subject of the Faculty itself, with the complete CBC).


In the CBC you only have to register for the subjects that you are missing to complete the new CBC on the corresponding date according to the academic calendar published on the web.

I am a graduate of the UBA, and now I want to start another career: do I have to take the CBC? What procedure do I have to complete?

The process begins in Uriburu 950, and by Resolution of the Superior Council, the two common subjects (Introduction to Knowledge of Society and the State and Introduction to Scientific Thought) are approved.

When do I have to get the CBC card / book ?

Normally the date to process the credential / booklet is from May in the Student Office of your Headquarters.

How is the regularity processed?

It takes place at the Ticket Desk office of the CBC Headquarters at 841 Ramos Mejía Street, CABA from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check the dates of receipt of applications.

Where do you process the certified programs ?

They are available at the Library of the Central Headquarters of the CBC (Ramos Mejía 841 1st floor - CABA), where they are certified.

Original analytical certificate without amendments must be presented (which is requested in the Department of Students of the Headquarters on the 2nd floor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., it is delivered at the moment and has a cost - see in "Treasury Fees").
The certification is done in 24 hours . The cost can be seen in "Treasury Fees" and is paid for each program.
The procedure is NOT personal (in case of sending a third party, indicate the chair in which the student took the subject).

Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. exclusively and without exception.

Where are the CBC Libraries located?

The CBC has Libraries in Ramos Mejía, Avellaneda, Montes de Oca, Drago, San Isidro and Paternal in which programs and texts can be obtained with the presentation of the DNI and notebook / credential.

What do I have to do when I finish the CBC ?

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! You have to register yourself at your school with an affidavit certifying that you passed all subjects of the CBC. And that is the last question that we can answer you, for your career you will have to look for all the information in the communication channels of the same. Can I continue my career if I owe a subject from the CBC ?

No , you have to pass all the subjects of the CBC to be able to follow the career you chose.
